ATKINSON COUNTRY CLUB GOLF PROS RAISE MORE THAN $7,000 FOR
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL BOSTON

( ATKINSON , NH , June 2, 2006 ) – The golf professionals at Atkinson Country Club have raised more than $7,000 for Children's Hospital Boston. In what will become an annual fundraiser, the pros collected donations from Resort customers and Inner Club members for every birdie they scored playing two rounds of golf on May 4, 2006. Nearly 120 donations were collected since February and additional funds were raised through an impromptu golf bag raffle at the Resort's recent 10 th Anniversary celebration on May 26.

“We came up with the Birdie-A-Thon fundraiser idea for Children's Hospital as a good way to kick off the golf season while helping a worthwhile organization,” says Atkinson Country Club's Head Golf Professional Peter Doherty. “We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our customers and Inner Club members. Because of their enthusiasm and support, we will make this an annual event that we hope will grow over the years.”

In addition to PGA member Peter Doherty, the golf pros at Atkinson Country Club include Class A PGA member Marc Spencer, and assistant golf professionals Andy Strutt and Sean Chipman. The Resort & Country Club recently celebrated its 10 th anniversary highlighting its expanded golf education program that includes individual and group lessons, and junior and women's clinics. Plans also include unveiling the redesigned 15 th and 16 th holes scheduled for August 2006.
