ATKINSON COUNTRY CLUB EARNS EVEN MORE ACCOLADES
Ranked in top two percent of courses by N.E. Golf Guide; earns two spots in NH's Great 18

( ATKINSON, NH, August 8, 2006 ) – Atkinson County Club, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is adding more accolades to its already impressive list. New England Golf Guide and WMUR-TV 9 viewers both included the 18-hole championship golf course in recent rankings of the best courses in New England.

In its 2006 edition, New England Golf Guide recognizes Atkinson Country Club among New England’s very best public courses based on reader feedback and rater evaluations of course layout, consistent course conditions, value for price, level of customer service and overall golf experience. One of only 17 courses in New England to receive the certificate, its four-star “excellent” rating places Atkinson Country Club in the top two percent of the 655 courses in the region. Atkinson County Club also earned two spots on WMUR-TV’s “New Hampshire’s Great 18” series. In weekly segments airing this summer, the station is profiling the state’s best and most challenging golf course holes as voted by its viewers. Ranked at number 12 is Atkinson Country Club’s 18th, a par 4, 334-yard hole featuring a hazard and a green overlooked by patrons on the “magnificent Resort’s” patio. Ranked at number 10 is the Club’s 11th, its “majestic looking” par 3, 144-yard signature hole that “leaves little room for error.”
